Our products prove to be highly reliable and have been in the field for more than ten years and provide a low total cost of ownership. The MEMS VOA chips used in our products are in full compliance with the Telcordia 1209 and 1221 reliability standards. All of our products consume significantly less power. For instance, OS3012 - a 300 port (duplex) switch consumes as low as 10 Watts! The 1xN or n(1xN) switches we offer can help time share one expensive optical device with many other optical devices. It could save thousands of dollars in capital equipment spending by effectively using under-utilized costly optical test and measuring instruments.
Our products run an open Linux operating system that provides limitless opportunities for adding software features. Users can configure, control and monitor the device remotely using any standard internet browser using HTTPS, a command-line interface via SSH, and SNMP/MIB. In addition, it can be programmed using the REST application programming interface.
And our product products are scalable. You can cascade many devices to get one extensive configuration. For instance the OS214 allows users to configure many OS214 devices in series, only limited by the optical devices transmit power and OS214s total insertion loss, to share many more optical devices. The following diagram shows how two OS214 switches can be connected to get one duplex 1x7 virtual switch.
